Still Friends? (Jaiden x James) - Chapter 2: How It All Started (2024)

 
(Jaiden's POV)

I was looking for other animators to collaborate with just so I could get to know the community a little better. I came across a popular animator with a little over 3 million subscribers. Hmm. "TheOdd1sout". I like him. So I sent this email to him: "Hey! I like your videos and was hoping you could read some lines for me. Interested? 
James: Hey! Sure, I'd love to! I like your videos as well. What's the video about and when do you need the lines by? 
Jaiden: Well I heard you also live in Arizona. So do you just wanna meet at my house for the sake of better audio quality? And to prove that you're not a serial killer? 
James: Fair point. What's the address? 
Jaiden: (insert street name here) 
James: Sounds good. I'll be over at like 5pm? 
Jaiden: Sounds good! 
James: Okay see you then! 
Jaiden: See you then! 
 
Oh no. He's coming over in less than an hour. That is not enough time for me to mentally prepare. I guess I'll just deal with it. 
*Time skip to 5pm* 
*knock knock knock knock* 
Jaiden: Hey James! 
James: Hey Jaiden!
James: So uhhh should I come inside? 
Jaiden: Yeah sure.
James: O-okay
 
Wow. A popular YouTuber in my house. I shouldn't be intimidated though. His sub count is slightly bigger. Ugh stop thinking about sub counts Jaiden. 
 
James: So what do you like to do for fun besides YouT- 
Jaiden: GORDAN RAMSAY 
James: Well oKAY then. 
James: Anything els-
Jaiden: GORDON RAMSAY 
Jaiden: Oh and birds. 
James: Oh speaking of- 
*screech screech screech* 
James: Man I just keep getting cut off today. 
Jaiden: I'm gonna bring Ari over here. 
James: Is that a good ide-
*screech screech screech*
James: SERIOUSLY 
Jaiden: HAHA
James: Okay let's just get to recording before I get cut off again 
Jaiden: Hehe okay. 
Jaiden: Hey everyone! I have a special surprise for you. (trumpet noises) (laughter) 
Jaiden: It's James! 
(Imagine the voices fading away like a dramatic scene for a movie).
 
11pm 
(James' POV) 
We finally finished. I was having such a fun time and it was getting late. I honestly didn't want to leave. But I did not want to stay the night. That'd be way too awkward considering we just met in person today. 
 
James: It's getting pretty late. I should head home now. 
Jaiden: Aw okay. 
James: I had fun though. We'll have to do it again soon. 
Jaiden: Definitely. 
James: Alright bye Jaiden! 
Jaiden: Bye James! 
*Door shuts gently* 
 
(Jaiden's POV) 
I wished that day could've lasted forever. I really didn't want him to leave. We were having so much fun. I felt a feeling. A spark. 
I didn't know exactly what yet but, I could feel a great friendship coming on.
